About This Compound

Bacteriostatic Water (BW) is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth and allows multi-use vial access over 28 days without contamination. It is the required reconstitution solvent for all lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide vials. Using plain sterile water or saline for reconstitution risks bacterial contamination and peptide degradation — bacteriostatic water is the research standard. Each 30mL vial provides sufficient volume for multiple peptide reconstitutions. Always use a new sterile syringe for each draw. Store at room temperature after opening.
